They never told me quite how much work it is to write a book. It's been a hell of a ride.

I was first contacted by the publishers on the 10th of August last year. Today, nearly six months later, I am sending the last files of the last chapter to the publisher.

The book is already on Amazon, although it's not due to go on sale for another few months.

58,560 words. 232 photograps. 288 pages. 10 chapters. 2 appendices. 164 days. And my name on the front cover. My first book.

I had a bit of an epiphany the other day. What the hell am I doing trying to set up a site with a name of 'rockprints.co.uk'? The site isn't focused on the UK, it isn't just about rock music, and it has a wider scope than photographic prints, so every part of that URL and the name is completely wrong.

Seeing the error of my ways, I've launched a brand new site: 3 Songs. It does exactly what Rockprints used to do, but at least now I've got the name right.

Can you spot why it's called 3 songs? If you can't, don't worry - I've added an explanation over on the 3 songs site.

Other than the name, nothing has changed. I'm still looking for good concert photographers to be part of the rockpr 3 Songs venture!

As a photographer, I have experienced feeling that I have touched people in a ways I wish hadn't. An accidental invasion of privacy, so to speak, which made me feel as if I had commited the rudest form of sexual harassment - without even being aware of it.

In photography, One day, you can take a photograph of someone who is not wearing any clothes, but it will be okay. The next day, you can take a picture of someone who is fully dressed, even if you don't see their face, and it is the worst of possibly imaginable sin. What is okay in one situation can be wrong in another.

So, I've been stressed out recently about all sorts of things. Calming back down now, means that I have a lot more time to actually *enjoy* photography. I am also slowly working through a huge backlog of photos, so I imagine I'll be putting more stuff on DA in the nearby future, but also offering prints of some of the older stuff.

Rock on, everybody.

So, eh, I totally don't get this. I'm pretty sure I didn't subscribe to DA, but I'm listed as a subscriber.

Did they screw up?
Did I get really drunk, and bought a subscription?
Did everybody become subscribers?
Did someone buy me a subscription?

So, yeah, confused.
